Late Levon Haftvan wins award in Panama

Late Iran actor Levon Haftvan has won award at 2018 Canal de Panama International Film Festival in Panama.  

The demised actor grabs Best Actor award for performing the role of Dr. Ahmad Kupal in the movie 'Kupal' directed by Kazem Mollaei from the 3rd edition of the event.

Levon Haftvan had also had some nominations and awards for the same role from some other international film events including 2017 Hamilton Film Festival (HUFF) in Canada.

The movie 'Kupal' narrates the story of Dr. Ahmad Kupal who faces a challenge just before the Persian New Year.  He is a taxidermist and hunter.

The Canal de Panama International Film Festival is a film event that unites filmmakers from east and west, to show their productions to the people of America, as well as to the guests.

The third edition of the festival was held August 16-19, 2018.
